Farewell Miss Brown!

This week is Miss Brown's last week at Avonhead School. She is moving to Singapore to teach in a Canadian school. We know she is going to have a great time. Last week we had a special assembly and pancake breakfast for Miss Brown.

The pancakes were DELICIOUS! We wanted to say a big thank you to Ms Waterman and Mrs Todd for making it happen.

Miss Brown and Room 7 were welcomed into the hall by Room 14 and Miss Normanton.
Miss Brown got to sit in a special seat right at the front of the hall. Room 7 stood around her and sang a song about how AMAZING she is.
Next we stood up and sang the Canadian national anthem. Room 1 made Miss Gardner so proud when they sang beautifully at the top of their voices.
After that we watched a slideshow full of photos from all the amazing things Miss Brown has been doing while she's been in New Zealand.
Mrs Law got up next and said heaps of lovely things about Miss Brown.

Room 4 and Mrs Collins made a book for Miss Brown. It is full of really cool things to do with New Zealand so Miss Brown can take it to Singapore with her and never forget us!
Rooms 5, 6 and 8 stood up next and did an awesome haka and song for Miss Brown.
After all of that is was Miss Brown's turn to get up. She was very sad to be saying goodbye. Lots of the teachers, students and parents were very sad to say goodbye to Miss Brown too. There were lots of tears.
We will miss you Miss Brown. We hope you have the most fantastic time imaginable in Singapore!
